Approved Hydraulics Ltd is a well-established, Stockport based hydraulic engineering and sales company of 35 years. A major supplier of hydraulic equipment and grab attachments, supplying into the forestry, construction and civil engineering markets. We are manufacturers and sole UK distributors for a complete range of products.

Expanding rapidly, we are now looking for a dedicated team member to help grow the company and expand further into this exciting and buoyant market.

Job Description

Working in our Stockport depot as part of a team. The successful candidate will be working under the supervision and guidance of the workshop foreman on day to day operations and assembly of the workshop equipment ready for dispatch. Working closely with the sales engineers and production managers to become a key member of the team. They will also assist in achieving company targets and future growth by consistently providing quality and professional products and equipment packages through good engineering and organisational skills

A good knowledge of hydraulic equipment, plant equipment, material handling equipment will be an advantage however full product training will be given.

Job Roles

Assembling, completing and testing grabs attachments or hydraulic equipment for the workshop based on production schedules.
Safely preparing and testing equipment where appropriate and completing necessary documentation to ensure product quality
Ability to use good engineering practices to achieve excellent results.
Contributing to an evolving workshop to improve productivity were possible
Contributing to the overall development of internal production and operations of the company.
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
Promoting good housekeeping for an efficient working environment.
Working towards and in line with the company sales and operations strategies.

Remuneration Package

Salary: £14.00-£14.33 per hour

There is also a company-wide bonus based on 3 x levels of GP achievement to encourage teamwork and recognise everyone’s efforts.
